Auckland City Council
Our working relationship with Auckland City Council began more than fifteen years ago.
It commenced with the maintenance contract for several sports fields, and has since grown to incorporate a comprehensive range of services for the maintenance and management of 333 parks across Auckland.
The work we do within Auckland parks extends beyond the parks themselves. Other services we provide include liaison with clubs and interest groups; assistance with the call centre for park bookings, and facilitating at events such as Round the Bays. All the services we provide follow strict performance guidelines so that Council objectives are met, and often exceeded.
Services We Provide:
Sports Parks’ Maintenance
Includes care of 16 cricket blocks, including four premiere grade blocks, turf management, mowing and irrigation management.
Renovations and Development
Includes verti-draining, topdressing, seeding and coring, and renovation of cricket pitch.
Parks Management and Maintenance
Includes horticultural maintenance of perennials, trees and gardens; facilities management for changing rooms, halls and field bookings.
Some Current Projects:
Auckland City Council – Mission Bay Couch Grass Trial
We are trialling the use of Legend Couch grass at Selwyn Reserve on Mission Bay.
It‘s expected that this grass type will better stand the rigours of the park’s extremely high usage in summer.
Auckland City Council – Churchill Park Planting
We are proud to be lead contractors with the replanting project at Churchill Park. This project involves the planting of over 60 new plants and trees which will significantly increase the appearance of the park and will ensure a much more pleasurable experience for park users.
