North Shore City Council
We began working with North Shore City Council in 1993.
Our first contract was for the maintenance and management of more than fifty sports fields. Since then our responsibilities have grown considerably to include amenity parks services for more than 217 parks and reserves in Devonport and Takapuna.
The longevity of our working-relationship with the Council has enabled us to meet their specific requirements. Examples of this include the Council’s reliance on our expertise to handle all renovations work. They were also the first contract in which we provided access to a specific web-based system where they could track amenity parks’ works.
Services that we provide:
Sports Parks’ Maintenance
Includes care of 10 cricket blocks, turf management, mowing and irrigation and management.
Parks Management and Maintenance
Includes horticultural maintenance of perennials, trees and gardens; facilities management for changing rooms, halls and field bookings.
Renovations and Development
Includes verti-draining, topdressing, seeding and coring, and renovation of cricket pitch.
Some Current Projects:
Becroft Park
We are working on a project constructing two sand fields at the Forrest Hill Milford Football Club, as well as the installation of new floodlights. The new drainage system will have close to 2,000m of lateral drainage and 20,000m of slip drainage, as well as a new irrigation system.
Albany Lakes
This is a 1.8 hectare turfing project at Albany Lakes and includes a one year maintenance programme.
When completed, it will be one of Auckland’s premier reserves and a pleasurable experience for park users.
North Shore Parks Annual Bedding Renovations
Throughout Takapuna and Devonport we are undertaking the third seasonal changeover of our bedding gardens involving the planting of over 10,000 annuals.
