Industry Groups

At Recreational Services, we are committed to sharing our time and knowledge for the betterment of New Zealand’s turf industry.

We are actively involved with Horticulture and Turf Training authorities, and play a large part in the Turf Industry Profiling Group (TIPG) – an organisation that exists to attract trainees to the industry.

The TIPG was initiated by Brett Turner (Managing Director, Recreational Services). Since 2006, the group from all areas of the industry have worked on providing a better understanding of what the Turf Industry can provide to individuals and what can be looked at to benefit the industry’s future.

We are active members of the Sports Field Forum which is a positive group bringing together councils, contractors and any other organisations with a keen interest in sports fields, to discuss ways to promote and improve all aspects in regards to sports field design and management.

We believe that our participation is helping to ensure the industry develops and embraces innovation, and also continues to produce highly-trained people who are passionate about what they do. As many of these knowledgeable graduates join our team, we can then provide an even greater level of service to our customers.
